“Insert Complicated Title Here”

This hefty accordion-bound book features excerpts from both Virgil Abloh’s 2017 lecture at Harvard Graduate School of Design with the same title, as well as Donald Judd’s essay It's Hard to Find a Good Lamp (1993). The focus of this book is furniture design and how the practice connects with other fields of design like architecture, fashion, and sculpture.

While reflecting on the themes and the design languages of both Abloh and Judd, I set out to design a book that connected with and was inspired by the text and the Ideas of these two designers. In addition, Virgil Abloh discusses his collaboration with IKEA, and the brands colors and tactility were also inspirations for the craft of this book.
